Expect HTTP 402 with PAYMENT-REQUIRED. The unpaid 402 body includes a live redacted preview (title, word count and a short snippet) so you can judge the extraction before paying. Sign the accepted quote with an x402 client and retry the same request with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE. A successful call returns HTTP 200 with ok, title, content, format, words and sha256 - check ok and a non-empty content.

Limitations

• Public HTTPS pages only.
• No JavaScript rendering; client-rendered pages may return little text.
• Extraction failure is reported explicitly; HTTP 200 alone is not proof of usable content.
